Okay, first post.
Soooo…. LifeAfter just got a new update to celebrate the upcoming Chinese Qixi Festival (we call it Tanabata Festival in JP) and Netease felt like adding a whole bunch of updates.
Before I start, if you wonder what Qixi Festival is all about, it is a traditional Chinese festival celebrating the annual meeting of the cowherd and the weaver girl, occuring every 7th day of the 7th month of the Chinese calendar. In Japan, thise figure are referred to as Orihime and Hikoboushi sama, but that’s another story.
I’ll head with Qixi Festival update.
1. The Qixi❤Gift (The ❤ is a compulsary to add)
It’s costume, ladies and gents, that you gotta buy in package. Like get the dress, you get the head… and food… and some random box that gives out armour/weapon extensions, rd, new dollars, skill points etc. It costs 2980 federal coins, which I must say the most expensive package they’ve released since, idk Chic Doom?
Please ignore my Federal Coins. I like to keep them… empty.
2. Rate up for special weapon skins
Unlike the previous event which gives you free rolls to get building formulas (with very bad gatcha rate in my experience), there is now a (slightly) high chance to get weapon camos from each formula research spins. That includes Rainy Day, Snow and CE. Crossing fingers.
3. Scarlet Wedding
You need to finish the quests from the event NPC in Hope101 to get rewards.
Speaking of wedding, when will they put marriage system in here though?
4. Qixi Wish
Claim it and get some rewards. Honestly I am not sure what’s in it. Just claimed it right off the bat. 🙄🙄
5. Lucky Snap-up
Here goes the betting on the materials as pictured. Good for you if you got to snap it up. Can I change it to Unlucky Snap-up? 🤔
6. Duo Training
Same, old, duo training. No explanation needed.
7. Market
This is definitely the highlight for me. They’ve got new furnitures (and I got no fc loaded atm 😒), auto-sprinkler which lets you… well, auto water your plants, same with auto feeder for your cattles and auto miner for, well you know where to use it. That can be used 100x BUT only if you have the Natural Courtyard which will turn your usually bland garden into a real garden!
My thoughts
I like the update, especially the one that will pimp your garden like come on. Your house looks like a mansion with a jungle beside it. It pretty looks oriental, given it is the theme for these past few weeks, and will surely look good beside those oriental houses built from last event’s building materials. Good job Netease, just waiting for something… perhaps Japanese… in the next few updates.
